I was born and raised in Southern California, then moved to Henderson, Nevada in 1996. I was working in the assisted living industry when the economy crashed and was grateful that my hobby turned into a job at the local bead shop, Bead Jungle.
Inspired by my Mom’s lifelong creativity, I have always been involved in arts and crafts, with beading becoming my passion in 2004. I have loved being a designer and instructor in the Las Vegas area and with Vegas being a tourist destination, have enjoyed the opportunity to teach students from all over the world.
I like to have fun, I have a twisted sense of humor, a boisterous laugh and I am excited to share my love of beading with others. Currently, I am on a road trip, living the gypsy life, so you never know what time zone I will be traveling through or where you might find me!
I teach classes in Beadweaving, Bead Embroidery, Kumihimo and Leather Wraps and have recently started selling my patterns on Facebook. Check out my page: LABeadBox
Abrakadabra is a magical necklace with a very versatile design. The magic is all about the bedazzled beaded beads you will create with a variety of materials. Each bead is a treasure, designed exclusively for the Heart of Texas Bead Retreat. You will love the flexibility of this necklace with its bright sparkle of beaded beads. The necklace is designed for you to be able to continue to add beaded beads in your choice of new colors and components. In class, we will discuss endless possibilities to making this your “go to necklace,” whether you’re wearing your favorite little black dress or a casual shirt and jeans.
