What is not included in the Retreat registration fee?
  • Class Kit Fees. Kits are purchased directly from the instructor.
  • Dinner – you are on your own for dinner.
  • Hotel lodging – you are responsible for your hotel room costs.
  • Transportation – you are responsible for your transporation to and from the Retreat venue.

Registration for the Summer 2021 Heart of Texas Bead Retreat: 

$495 – Registration Tuition  ~A special Registration Tuition discount for returning attendees is available June 2020 through February 7, 2021~

Note: You can pay in full at Registration or opt to send a Non-Refundable Deposit of $150.00 (which is due upon Registration). Your spot is not reserved until your Deposit/Payment is received.

 How Do I Register?

You can register online, click here REGISTRATION – the Registration link is also on the drop down menu under Summer 2021.

Tuition or Deposit payment must be received within 14 calendar days to reserve your registration. Payment is by personal check or PayPal. By clicking on PayPal when completing registration, you will be redirected to PayPal to process payment. If paying by check, by cliucking on “PERSONAL CHECK,” the instructions for payment by check will come up on screen: “Please make your check out to Heart of Texas Bead Retreat and mail to: Heart of Texas Bead Retreat P.O. Box 928, Georgetown, Texas 78627”

For Registrations after February 7, 2021, payment in full is required unless prior payment arrangement has been made with Heart of Texas Bead Retreat. Contact Sally Custer for payment questions/information. A portion of your payment is non-refundable – for full details see Cancellation Policy at the bottom of this page.

NOTE:  Wait List spots will be released February 8, 2021 and if accepting the spot, you will be expected to process immediate payment in full through PayPal. Thank you!

Failure to remit Final Payment by due date will result in forfeiture of deposit and your reservation will be cancelled. Do not depend on reminder emails! Email delivery and how often you check your email could cause a missed Reminder. Please contact Sally Custer  for additional payment questions and/or further information.

Will there be shopping at the Retreat?

In addition to the exclusive Trunk Shows, we will have an onsite Bead Marketplace with Wild Beads Additional Vendors will be announced as they are added. 

What should I bring?

Each instructor will have kits available for purchase, unless otherwise noted on the Workshop page. Materials lists for classes will be sent to all confirmed attendees. Wild Beads will have supplies for the classes as well as a wide variety of beads, tools and supplies for sale during Marketplace hours.

You should bring tools and supplies as required in each Class Description for which you are registered.  Feel free to bring your task lighting, favorite bead board, etc. Heart of Texas will provide a limited number of power strips should you need one.  Remember to bring your beading glasses or magnifier!  

Will there be breaks?

Please feel free to take a break and move around whenever you need to; there isn’t any set break time.  All day beverages will be served in the Foyer.

Will there be a place to visit and bead after hours?

The Community Beading Room will open at 8:00 a.m. and throughout the day – After class hours it will remain open until 11:00 p.m. and you are welcome to join friends, visit and bead.

What if I need to cancel?

Cancellation Policy:

To reserve your spot, a $150.00 non-refundable deposit is required and due upon registration. Your space is reserved for 14 days pending payment of your deposit – or tuition in full. After 14 days, your registration will be deleted for non-payment unless prior payment arrangement has been made with Heart of Texas Bead Retreat.

Your registration is transferable.  Heart of Texas will make every effort to find a replacement for you from the Wait List. If no one is available from the Wait List, it is your responsibility to find a replacement for your spot in the Retreat in order to have your payment refunded; your refund will be processed upon full payment by replacement attendee. Note: Should you sell your spot directly to a replacement attendee no refund or credit transfer will be given. Deposit payments are not refundable nor transferable as a credit.

Final Tuition Payment must be received by the due date set for each Retreat (see FAQ page for the appropriate Retreat deadline date). Failure to pay by the set due date will result in cancellation of your registration unless prior payment arrangement has been made with Heart of Texas Bead Retreat.

For Cancellations after the set due date, a 50% refund of Tuition (less non-refundable deposit). For cancellations 60 days prior to Retreat start date, no refund will be issued.

Lodging cancellations must be made directly with the Hotel.

Heart of Texas Bead Retreat reserves the right to cancel a Retreat if the minimum number of students are not registered and will then return all money paid at that time to registered participants less credit card/Paypal process fees, if applicable, not to exceed $35 per registrant.

If the event is cancelled due to acts of God, government regulations, natural catastrophe, terrorist act, curtailment of transportation, or any other situation making it inadvisable or illegal, Heart of Texas Bead Retreat will be liable only for applying tuition fees to a future event, less the non-refundable deposit.

It is strongly recommended students obtain Cancellation and/or Travel insurance. Thistlewerk LLC, Heart of Texas Bead Retreat, Sally Custer, or any of our subsidiaries cannot be held liable for cancellation for any reason.

By registering for this retreat, you are agreeing to the cancellation policy as stated herein and on the appropriate Retreat FAQ page.

By participating in this event, you agree to hold Heart of Texas Bead Retreat harmless in any way for any claim for injury, loss or damage to you or any person accompanying you and you give consent to The Heart of Texas Bead Retreat to use photos taken of you during the retreat as publicity for future retreats and promotional materials.
